MamaKanga is a really fun website isn't it? Amanda started MamaKanga on a custom built html site and cart. It was fully functional and totally worked, it just lacked the ease and functionality of a site builder. She asked for me help on getting her a site builder that would work for what she needed and also a web design that would match her style.
We went pretty dark, we went really bold. The dark chocolate was paired with a light turquoise and shades of magenta and lime to brighten it up. She loved her little kangaroo so we kept him (her?) and recreated the logo for high resolution. When I did the original rebranding project with Amanda, we didn't hold back. We did everything. I think there are some street signs somewhere. (JOKING!) No, but seriously, she had everything and a different banner ad for each website and forum that her business was affiliated with.
Last year, she sought a change. She actually sought a magazine ad if I recall correctly and I suggested a brighter palette, which led to this. It is actually a premade template design. It is still available for resale, here, but I do limit who it is sold to. I will not sell it to a competitor of another template holder or someone in the same field.
Anyway, so Amanda wanted a few changes made that would fit her store better and that was that.
Since the launch of the site (both original and current), Amanda has successfully managed all of the content and product uploads. The site was built on Creo Commerce and hosted through creo communico (formerly Iris Market Builder, Elemental Muse).
