Såpebobla... oh how I love thee... Ok, for one, look at all of the soaps, muffins and the nail polishes!!! *SWOON*
I know, my bathtub beckons me... oh, wait, I don't have any of these lovely fizzes and soaps, but I should! I think I can smell them!!!
Ok, so about the project. Rachel, my sweet Rachel. Let me tell y'all. Can I brag for a minute? Do you mind? Hope not. Rach is one of my original clients. LOVE her! This was the first project that she approached me with. Okay, cool. I was all 'bout it 'bout it. I was into bright colors and browns at the time and in Norway, (she's from Norway btw) they hadn't started that trend yet. I ran with the bubble theme and wanted to use that throughout the site. It was fun and pretty and whimsical. She was like the easiest client ever. She just wanted "bright and fun and bubbly" and that was it. Everything that I presented her with she was so happy with, but it was more than that, she was so appreciative. I will never forget how much her genuine appreciation for what I did when I was just a small time whipper snapper meant to me.
I designed her graphics in 2008 and slowly we have started to make the overall look a bit more modern, but actually still use all of the exact same colors and all of the same swirls and bubbles. I am just using them in a different way. She never asked for this either. I just was feeling the need for a change and bit the bullet and did it. SHE LOVED IT (thankfully! if she wouldn't have, I would have just redesigned it with our old media. no prob!)
So with each new project, we have been making the move over to that streamlined and modern look without having to completely scrap everything. You can still look at the logo and recognize her brand... that's what branding is... recognizing a brand and you will recognize those super cute bubbles and awesome swirls anywhere!
